    An update
So, I have not written a journal entry in such a long time.. My convention part went very well.. I went to Maine with a group from our Kingdom Hall to work seldom-worked territory... then I went to Florida for a week with my family from Portugal, who were visiting the States for the first time. I recieved my letter from the Society, it's official, I am now a regular pioneer, and I couldn't be more happy. In a few hours I will be going to Westfield for my Road Test.. I hope I pass. Well, that's all that I can think of for now, maybe I will update my journal again soon. I hope that you all are doing well.

    The Portuguese Assembly...
So, Sunday was the Portuguese Special Day Assembly. Let me just say.. it was an awesome day. I walked in and had the chance to see everyone from my Portuguese class from last year. And of course I noticed right away that there were 6 brothers to every sister. (I knew there was a reason that I learned Portuguese) ha ha. But the freakiest thing happened... there was a really tall, handsome brother. He was probably 17. And right away I noticed how nice he was to the older brothers and sisters, and he was helping the young kids look up the scriptures.. and he was an attendant. So I thought in my mind.. wow, this guy must be really spiritual. No lie, I opened my Watchtower to a random page.. and.... his picture was RIGHT there!! I almost choked. What are the chances that his picture would be there, I would randomly open to that page, and I would find that guy attractive. So, of course, the second I told my aunt she freaked out and started laughing rediculously hard and asked me what I was going to do... so of course I said.. "I'm going to introduce myself". I did.. but it was so rushed since he was the Brother in charge of the cleaning crew for his congregation.. but he told me that we should get to know eachother better at the next Assembly, (since my family had to leave right after) But isn't that a CRAZY experience??

    Prayer
So, I prayed about getting a job that would suit my needs as a regular pioneer... before this I was applying almost everywhere and I didn't get a schedule that would work. A DAY after I prayed, I was at my dentist and the docter asked if I would be interested in working for him from 2-6, five days of the week! That means that I can make my time AND attend ALL of my meetings without a problem for personal study and meeting preperation. It just goes to show you that Jehovah is always ready to help when there is a need. So, I put in my application for regular pioneer service and the RBC at the Sunday meeting, and the P.O was so excited! I can't wait for this September, i'm working on getting another bible study!

    So Far...
Spring is finally here, I'm really happy for that. Life has been going pretty well, other than the normal girl drama. (Some girls just carry more baggage into their friendships) But, I just say to dust yourself off, and move on. Life is filled with awkward, upsetting, and hurtful moments. But I would rather focus on the good things in life rather than the moments that can bring someone pain.

I'm auxiliary pioneering again, in April it will be the 4 year anniversary of my regular pioneering. I only have a few books left to graduate, so I will be done by the summer. Just in time for my family from Portugal to come and visit. (It's their first time in the U.S, so i'll be taking them to N.Y and Canada.)

Today Jolene is coming over to watch a Bollywood movie. I can't wait, I've been hearing awesome things about these movies. And it'll be fun to finally hang out with her, since I haven't seen her in forever.

I have to get things ready, maybe in another few months i'll write another one of these.. ha ha.

    My Permit
Yesterday I got my permit, I totally freaked out before I went in for the test, since everyone was telling me that I would be ridiculously dumb if I didn't pass. So, the pressure was on... I told my dad that if I didn't pass the first time- we would both bring that to our grave. ha ha. But I passed, and I was so happy. My picture came out horrible, but doesn't everyones?

    The Snow
So, we are having this huge snow storm. We are expecting around 21 inches. I'm stuck in the house with nothing to do. Our meeting was cancelled, so I got up and made pancakes for my family. Yesterday was my birthday, and I wasn't able to get my permit, since the R.M.V is closed on the weekends. My puppy is so cute, she's a golden retriever, she loves the snow, so she is running around like a mad dog, diving in and out of the snow that my dad is blowing out with the snowblower. Well, I think that I am going to take a long hot shower. That's the best thing to do at a time like this.

    Friday
My day has started off pretty well, I went out in field service, and in 2 hours I placed 6 magazines with my 3 return visits. So, it was a productive morning. I got to work with my friend Kaitlyn, who just moved up here from Florida. Tommorow is my birthday, I'll be 16. I'll be getting my permit, I can't wait. Tonight i'm going to a poker party with all of the teens from this area, it should be fun. Hopefully there won't be any drama (since girls get crazy when guys are around, they automatically start claiming them as their territory) ha ha, but I think it'll be ok, i'm used to it by now. This weekend we are getting this huge snowstorm, hopefully it won't stop me from shopping for my new assembly outfit. Well, I have school work to do.

    Sonnets From The Portuguese
I can't recieve any of the credit for this masterpiece (I'm not as talented as Jolene) but, while I was reading my English Lit book I came across a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I like the actual poem (don't think that I'm partial because of the title) ha ha. Honestly, I enjoyed hers better, but this one was pretty good for being written in the 18th century.

~How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when falling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
most quiet need, by sun and candlelight
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
in my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!- and, if God choose,
I shall love thee better after death.

    computer illiterate
So, I am a new user of this live journal thing, and i'm actually pretty amazed that I was successful in completing the whole process.
Yesterday I had an awesome party for the Superbowl, I had about 20 people (the last few years we've had 50+) it was smaller than usual, but we had a great time. I have so much left over food, I hope that my brother will finish it off, since I have no self-control, and bathing suit season is coming up fast. I'm glad that the Steelers won, even though I am a huge Pats fan. I watched half the game and ran in and out of the room for commercials. Well, I am going to go back to bed, my body can't function on 4 hours of sleep.
